I am part of the AOD (Art of Documentary) community, where people from all over live and breathe documentary films. They have 24-hour film content, and I decided to apply.
I was looking for a good story, so I texted a few of my friends. They told me about Jeff, who is feeding the homeless downtown. The biggest part of the story was that he was blind!
My friend had his number so I reached out to him and we started talking, he did agree to be recorded on the camera, and that was the start of this film!

Description
I teamed up with Mario Tenorio on this film, we only had 24 hours to shoot so we needed to fit it in one day and make sure we had all the shots we wanted plus the interview.
Jeff didn’t want to do a sit-down interview, I respected that so I needed to interview him on the go, that’s why you can hear all the preparation during the interview.
Also, not all homeless people wanted to be on the camera, we needed to respect that, and we would always ask people if that was ok if we filmed them.
One of the contests requiraments was that film has to be below 6 minutes. And I have enough footage for half hour film! It is good to have boundries becous then you have to focus on telling the story in specific time range.
Variety of shots from 2 cameras helped to make film more interesting, and more alive.
Jeff and his story broke my heart, I hope you enjoy the film and that it will inspire you!
