The March for Life this year started for me on Thursday. The Sisters of Life asked me to cover Life Fest, which began at 6 a.m. with music by Fr. Isaiah and All the Living, the Sisters of Life band. This was followed by some amazing testimonies, including one from Lila Rose. Tears were right on the edge—you can’t listen to pro-life stories without your heart melting.

There was Adoration and Holy Mass, along with the veneration of relics of St. Carlo Acutis, St. John Paul II the Great, the Ulma Family, and others. From there, we headed straight to the heart of our country for the March for Life. You could feel the energy almost immediately. After being “pumped” at Life Fest, you forget about tiredness, problems, or anything negative.

HOPE could be felt from far away—thousands of people, friends, and so many familiar faces. Young students, families with babies. I stayed close to the Sisters of Life and witnessed so much joy—the joy they carry and share with everyone around them.

People recognize them. It feels like the entire country knows them. Some are praying the Rosary; many are talking with young women and men who are looking for consolation, advice, or simply a place to pour out their hearts.

I took a break and approached Sr. Elizabeth Ann. We talked, laughed, and I was inspired by her simplicity, joy, love, and kindness—and was reminded that we are all “one Body of Christ.” Everything is connected: our actions, our gestures, our acts of love.

Because it is about love.
Everything is about love.
He is Love.

This was my third year at the March for Life in Washington, D.C.—thousands of people not just walking, but standing firm, going against the mainstream to defend the truth, goodness, and dignity of human life.

And we are not going to stop!
We are the Pro-Life generation!

Until the next one, my friends.
