I planned this trip a few months before and I knew I wanted to be there! In 2022 I was at Chicago March For Life and it was very intense. I was curious about what to expect from the National March For Life in Washington D.C., which is the biggest Pro-Life march in the world! Started in 1974 by Nellie Gray is still going on and growing in number.

The plan was simple, get there in the morning, take photos, and come back to Chicago in the evening.

I woke up at 3 am to catch a 6 am flight from Chicago, and with a 60-minute delay, I was in DC at 10 am. Just walking out of the plate someone tapped me on the shoulder, it was Adam! My friend from St. John Cantius church, and we chatted for a moment and decided to meet after the march. I took Blue Line downtown, couldn’t resist, and stopped for a cup of cappuccino in Zeke’s Coffee :).

March For Life 2024It was a beautiful aura outside around 30 degrees and snowing, it made everything look beautiful, around 11 am, I started walking to the National Mall and I started seeing groups of people with signs like “We Are Pro-Life Generation” I knew I was on the right path!

I went right into the middle of the crowd and was trying to capture the emotion on people’s faces when speakers talked and a few videos were streamed. I was so pleasantly surprised to see so many young people, college students, and even kids marching together for such a great cause.

When we started walking I realized that more a more people were coming, but just in the end I could not believe how many people came, they were passing and passing, and seemed to have no end to it.

Entire march I was running back and forward to try to capture the essence of the event, you can find the result below where the full gallery is.

Also, I had a chance to meet Jeffrey Bruno, a great inspiration in the Catholic photography world, definitely check out his work! Big shootout for all photographers, videographers, journalists, and volunteers for doing a tremendous job!

God bless you and see you next year!
