Hundreds of people silently walked through the streets, carrying a cross, bearing witness to the Good News.
A “picture” is worth more than a thousand words.
It all began at St. Peter’s Church on Madison Avenue, in the heart of Chicago.
There were readings from Scripture, moments of meditation, and beautiful music performed by a choir — including our beloved Bishop Bartosic.
We marched 1.1 miles through the Magnificent Mile in silence. Some people asked what it was all about. Others ignored it, continuing on with their day.
Has anything really changed over the last 2,000 years?
When Jesus carried His cross, people were busy too — working, shopping, rushing to finish their tasks.
It’s good to slow down and reflect.
We can live in only two ways:
As if Jesus is the King of the Universe,
or as if He is not…
